Standard roll-off rentals in Berks County include about 7 days, with 3-day and 14-day variants common in published quotes. Your included period is stated in your quote before you book — if a quote doesn't say, ask, because that silence is where surprise fees live.
Extra days
Running long is normal: weather, a slow sort, a contractor's schedule. Extensions are a per-day arrangement, and the time to set one up is before your period ends — one call, and the clock simply extends at the rate in your quote.
Weight overage
Every rental also includes a tonnage allowance. Past it, overage is charged per ton at the quoted rate. Heavy debris is how overages happen: wet plaster, soil and shingles weigh far more than they look. Load heavy material in the right box (see the concrete page) and spread it evenly.
Avoid both fees
- Book the period you'll actually use, not the optimistic one
- Call before day 7 if you're running long
- Keep heavy debris out of household loads
- Don't let rain add water weight — cover the box if a storm parks over it for days
The fee structures behind all this are broken down on the pricing page.
